Mid as a reason to leave Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor. The October 30 thread is a drops roundup, and the Mac help page does not name the model or a plan. Mid on Windows. That post's desktop item is a chat shortcut, and the skills help page does not list the Windows app. No letter moves on the AI Coding Agents board. Antigravity with Gemini 4 Argon stays A. The October 30 thread
UPDATE At 11:01 PM UTC on October 30, 2026, the Gemini account posted an 11-item drops thread. Item 2 is Antigravity inside the Gemini app for Mac. Item 3 is the Windows app. Item 4 is skills. Item 7 names Adobe, Strava, and Peloton among connected apps. Those writeups also sit in the en-GB release notes section dated October 13, 2026. The next dated heading on that page is May 6, 2025, so October 13 is a section date. The Argon item there says the app rollout starts then, for Google AI Pro and Ultra. The same day's Antigravity blog puts Argon in the Antigravity desktop app and CLI for Pro and Ultra, and it never mentions the Gemini Mac button. Who the Mac button is for
NEW The Mac help page, read November 1, calls Antigravity a space in the Gemini app for Mac where an agent builds on the machine. Requirements: the latest Gemini Mac app, age over 18, English, a region where Antigravity is available, and a personal Google Account or an eligible work account with Gemini access. The page names no plan and no model. Click Antigravity, then open a project or a new conversation. Command+Shift+A returns to chat while the agent codes, and a notification fires when the build is ready. Messages sent to the same conversation from the separate Antigravity app may conflict. That Mac page says Customizations can add instructions or skills. It does not identify them with the chat skills below, or with the CLI skills in the October 26 1.4.7 note.
Windows is the chat shortcut
NERF Item 3 is a keyboard shortcut for summaries, brainstorming, and drafts. It does not say Antigravity. The release notes add Alt+Space, Windows 10 or later, gemini.google/desktop, plus Gmail, Drive, Nano Banana, and research. No coding agent, no plan, no local folder. Skills, and the Gems clock
NEW Chat skills are saved instructions for people 18 or over, signed in, with Keep Activity on. The help page places them in the Gemini mobile app, the Gemini Mac app, and gemini.google.com. Windows is absent from that sentence. Call one with /, or with @ if the shortcut has updated. An activated skill can apply on its own, and you can stack skills. Chat skills work without a Google AI subscription. SKILL.md upload, including a file from another platform, is Mac and web only. Scripts that need the internet are unsupported. UPDATE On a personal Google Account, 18 or over, Gems become read-only on November 17, 2026: you can open them, and you cannot use, edit, or create them. They are removed on December 17, 2026. Google says it will recreate them as skills, with supported files, when they go away. Under 18, the page gives no date. Workspace business, enterprise, and nonprofit accounts wait until March 2027. NERF Files on a skill cap at 100 MB. Over that, at transition, Google removes the largest files first. GitHub files, audio, video, .doc, .xls, .ppt, and archives do not carry over. Download those before December 17 if the account is personal and 18 or over. To copy by hand: download the Gem's knowledge files, create the skill, then replace it with a same-named folder that holds SKILL.md and the files. The release notes still say Customize, including skills, is rolling out on Windows and macOS desktop for all tiers, with more than 40 connectable apps. That is a wider line than the skills help page. The letter stays A
The November 1 pass keeps Antigravity with Gemini 4 Argon in A on the AI Coding Agents list. A Mac button is a client. The October 15 letter still rests on Google's Argon claims. Standard API price, reread November 1, is $2 / $10 per million tokens through November 30, 2026, then $4 / $20 on December 1. Argon is off the free tier. Source: pricing (opens in a new tab). What to do today
- On a Mac, 18 or over, in English, in a supported region: update the Gemini app, click Antigravity, and keep the standalone Antigravity app off that same conversation.
- On Windows: use Alt+Space as the chat overlay Google describes. Budget a coding agent only where a page actually names one.
- Personal account, 18 or over, with Gems you still need: copy them to skills before November 17, and download files skills will drop before December 17. The 100 MB cap removes the largest files first.
- Leave a skill deactivated if you do not want Gemini to apply it from the prompt alone.
- Keep Gemini chat skills, the Mac Antigravity Customizations line, and Antigravity CLI skills in separate piles until a Google page joins them.
